Entering a Split Personality — Chapter 7

Xiao He was surprised Lord Lance actually remembered him.

But this was fine, he’d saved him trouble. He didn’t have to rack his brains to think of a way to stand out from the crowd of black-haired elves.

They walked forward. Xiao He thought he’d see Lance alone, but unexpectedly, the elf led him through several winding corridors before bringing him into a spacious room.

Puzzled, Xiao He had just opened his mouth to ask a question when he saw that there was another room within the room. Its door opened, and a line of elves filed out. Each one of them was carrying a silver platter, with a variety of things placed separately on them.

What was this for?

Before he asked, the elf leading him said in a low voice, “Young Master Xiao He, please change clothes.”

“Change...change clothes?” Xiao He blinked and said, “I’m wearing…”

Before he finished speaking, the elf at the head of the line walked over. He lifted a finger, and Xiao He was dumbstruck.

F-f-f-fuck! My clothes! The perfectly good little white T-shirt I was wearing! How come they’re gone!

These elves even knew magic, and shit, it was a spell especially for taking off clothes...oh, no, it was especially for taking off men’s clothes!

How frightening, and after thinking about it throughly, it was utterly terrifying!

Xiao He instinctively covered his key parts, but a second elf soon came over, and with another wave of the hand, aquamarine spring water slowly gushed out and enveloped his entire body.

The spring water was warm and soothing, flowing slowly over his body. Not only was it not the slightest bit uncomfortable, it also made him feel pleasant physically and mentally, inside and out.

This was great. The last bit of anger in Xiao He’s heart was extinguished. Magic could even be used to take a bath, this was really wonderful!

A third elf followed after. These elves all had poker faces and proper attitudes, like wooden statuettes, but he had to say that their spells were so handy he really wanted to bring them all home.

Undressing, bathing, massaging, moisturizing, (Xiao He felt they could leave out this feminine atmosphere), getting a blow dry, changing clothes…

The whole process was done efficiently and flawlessly. The more important point was that it was all done with magic. They never touched him from the start, so there was no need to be embarrassed.

Alright...having a group of people stare at him was a bit embarrassing in itself.

But Xiao He, who had a strong ability to adapt, felt that this didn’t prevent him from wanting to take them home. (He was thinking too much).

After dressing neatly, Xiao He sized himself up in the mirror.

They all say clothes make the man. After he cleaned up, he looked pretty good.

The young, clean-faced elf in the mirror had long hair like a splash of ink, smooth and fine, spilling over his back down to his waist. It outlined his figure so that he seemed frail, but with the addition of his ornate, delicate robes, that frailty turned into nobility. A chain of gorgeous black pearls outlined his waistline perfectly, matching with his fine black hair and making his skin seem fairer against it.

The young elf had red lips and white teeth, his looks were picturesque, and his pointed ears trembled slightly. When his lips curved and he smiled, he exposed a pair of little canines, adding a touch of liveliness to his quiet beauty.

Xiao He looked at himself and felt he was pretty pleasing to the eye, but he was a little concerned inside. He didn’t look ugly like this, but why did he feel it was a little feminine…

But he thought better of it and felt at ease. This world didn’t even have any women, so how could he seem feminine? There probably wasn’t anyone who knew what that meant.

The clothes were good things, and the pearls were good too. If you wanted him to take them off after putting them on, no way!

While Xiao He was looking at himself, the elf from before was looking at him too. He scanned him up and down many times, slightly adjusted the angle of his collar and the ornaments on his wrist, and was finally satisfied.

“Young Master Xiao He, follow me.”

Xiao He followed him once again. They were silent the whole way, but that didn’t prevent him from complaining in his head.

What kind of Lord Lance was he, that he had to dress up just to see him? This really was some aristocratic business, damn, what a bother!

After winding through a corridor and passing through a firefly garden, while Xiao He was still dazzled, the elf leading the way pushed open a door and brought him into a huge, magnificent hall.

The elegant, pleasant sound of a piano drifted through the air, and a simple, clean fragrance filled the air. Xiao He looked around, and felt he’d wandered into a world out of the fairytales.

A sparkling, translucent harp that floated in the air; beautiful, fragile-winged elves; gossamer curtains that fluttered in the wind; ornate lighting fixtures that were so exquisite even God would take notice; to sum it up...the interior was full of dazzling brilliance.

With only a glance, you’d forget everything, and walk into the center, enchanted by this dreamlike scene. It was enough to make you believe this was paradise.

—It gathered together all the beautiful and flourishing nations of the sky in the world.

Xiao He didn’t know how long he stared until he came back to himself. Fortunately, this hall was huge, and he came in through a side door, so not too many people noticed him.

So even if he had stood there with a foolish look on his face for a long time, he didn’t have to worry about people looking down on him.

Calming down, Xiao He looked over, paying more attention to the elves in the hall.

This was probably a banquet, and it was a very high-society banquet. The elves that could attend were mostly ones with position and status.

In the beginning, God had been partial to the elves, and bestowed incomparable beauty upon them. These high-rank elves displayed the peak of the word “beauty.”

Pearls, gorgeous clothes, embroidery made with heavenly craftsmanship...all of these were only like the green leaves beneath red flowers, serving to enhance by contrast.

The elves were the ones most able to suppress the living creatures of this sacred realm, and they were the ones who could best manage these magnificent races. They had only to rely on the temperament they exuded, and it was enough to make ordinary people forget to breathe.

Xiao He walked among them, and though it wasn’t enough to make him feel ill at ease, he did feel a sense of incompatibility.

He had a naturally carefree disposition, so he rarely felt uncomfortable, but this time, he felt slightly agitated. He had a misconception that a piece of rat shit had been dropped into the soup pot. It just so happened that he felt like that piece of rat shit was him.

Bah, where could you find someone who’d mock himself like this? Xiao He encouraged himself. He was an elf now too. He’d grown wings, he’d gotten pointy ears. He was a proper, pure-blooded elf, so he couldn’t let his imagination run wild!

As they walked forward, Xiao He looked around until he was tired of appreciating their beauty. He thought that this beauty was the most beautiful, but the next one made him feel a little dizzy. He thought that no one could be more enchanting, but the next one…

This happened over and over until he walked into the very center, and saw a golden-haired elf sitting upright on a lapiz lazuli chair.

This was his second time seeing him, but Xiao He still found it hard to move his eyes away. Lance really had a face that gods and men alike were jealous of. It was perfect without a single blemish, and so dazzling it made you forget the radiance of the sun. You could only look up at him and gasp in awe.

Lance smiled, lifted his hand and said, “Come here, little fellow.”

Xiao He pinched his palm to regain his senses. He saluted him according to what he remembered. “My respects to Lord Lance.”

“There’s no need to be so polite.” Lance rose, his robe brushing the floor, and walked toward him across the floor full of starlight. “You’re beautiful today.”

Startled, Xiao He felt embarrassed shortly after—not because of the praise, but because of the position.

He was shorter than Lance. Lance leaned over, his entire body almost covering him, and spoke close to his ear, intimately and ambiguously. What’s more, the contents of his words were almost like the sweet nothings whispered between lovers.

But the problem was...Xiao He was going crazy inside, he wasn’t familiar with Lance!

When he was just thinking of retreating, Lance reached out and caught him, pulling them even closer.

The only thing left in Xiao He’s brain was: he’s taken me for a woman...taken me for a woman...me for a woman...for a woman...a woman...woman!

Fuck! I’m not a woman!

He was just thinking of doing something big when he suddenly heard a pleasant-sounding announcement from outside the door: “His Majesty has arrived.”

Suddenly...all the music disappeared, and as if the atmosphere had almost solidified, all the noble and elegant elves from before half-knelt on the floor, in an orderly and respectful manner.

Xiao He was a little shocked. He looked over and saw the man standing at the door.

At that moment, he really did forget how to breathe.

The silver-haired elf was like the only light in the darkness. In front of him, all the beautiful, bright and admirable things in the world instantly became not worth mentioning.

Faced with Lance, Xiao He was astonished by his beauty, but his brain was still operating normally.

But when he saw Ayr, he threw everything else to the back of his mind.
