Let's have a third round of applause for three gifts from three darlings ☺️
After the chaos of wartime was over, the Imperial Palace, which had been destroyed, began the process of rebuilding. As the head of the Royal Guard, General Craig carried heavy responsibilities. He’d been busy to the point of exhaustion for several days straight, and hadn’t seen Randy in a month.
Randy, however, didn’t send him so much as a word of greeting over text.
It was like this before as well. When the two were together, they were as close as family, and once they separated, they were like strangers who didn’t have anything to do with each other.
Sometimes, in the dead of night, Craig couldn’t help but think—did Randy really care about him?
The first time they had met, it was by accident, in the middle of chaos at Ellen Academy. Without even seeing each other’s faces clearly, they’d rolled in the sheets for a night, causing Randy to get pregnant and give birth to Aiden.
Afterwards, when they got together, it was for the sake of curing Aiden. Now, they had three children together, but Craig still couldn’t understand at heart—was Randy in love with him or not?
If a normal omega was willing to let an alpha mark him, it would usually be because he liked him. If an omega was approached by an alpha they didn’t like, they would fiercely resist.
But Randy was different. He had a very open-minded view on this, and whenever he needed it, he wasn’t shy at all, and readily slept with Craig on his own.
In the years that they’d been together, the two men had slept together countless times. Whether it was for the sake of having children and saving Aiden, or because Randy wanted it, every time, Randy was always very unrestrained in bed, and let Craig savor the experience. He hated that he couldn’t screw him until he couldn’t get out of bed, or straightforwardly eat him up and swallow him down…
But as soon as the passion passed and they calmed down, there always seemed to be a layer separating them, and he could never touch his innermost heart.
Randy was financially independent. His handicraft shop was doing better and better, and there were hundreds of millions of crystal coins in his savings. It was enough to spend for eight lifetimes.
Craig, as an alpha, didn’t earn as much money as him. On top of that, Craig wasn’t a romantic, gentle kind of alpha, and he didn’t know how to curry favor with his own omega.
He didn’t lack anything when it came to buying gifts.
He didn’t have much interest in taking him to go shopping and watch a movie.
It was only when he gave himself up for Randy to push down that he seemed a little bit happy…
Sometimes, Craig felt that he was the saddest alpha in the whole empire. He actually had to rely on his body to please his omega; if you said this out loud, it was simply too disgraceful!
After a sleepless night, General Craig was in a bad mood. Early in the morning, he left the Imperial Palace with dark circles under his eyes.
Randy didn’t contact him on his own, but he couldn’t give him the silent treatment in return. He loved Randy so much, after all, that he could only swallow down the bitterness in his heart by himself.
He drove his hovercar to Randy’s house, and found the gate locked. Craig knew the password, so he opened the door and went in. The large courtyard didn’t have a single human in it, just a few robots watering Randy’s flowers. The robots recognized him, and didn’t put up any defenses when they saw him go indoors, instead treating him like the owner of the house.
Craig went to the living room in a depressed mood and sat down. He called Randy’s communicator, but he didn’t pick up. Craig thought that maybe he went out to buy craft materials, so he’d better wait at home.
As it turned out, he waited until noon and still didn’t see Randy return. Craig finally couldn’t sit still anymore, and decided to give his son a call.
“Do you know where your dad is?” Craig asked him straightforwardly.
Aiden paused, then said, “Dad took my little brother and sister to the hospital for an examination. Didn’t you know?”
Craig looked down dismally and said, “He didn’t mention it to me.”
—The alpha’s voice seemed deeply wronged.
Randy was too independent, and he did everything on his own. As an alpha, he was just a decoration in this house. Craig felt upset at heart, and he couldn’t help feeling a bit angry as well. This habit Randy had of never telling him when he did anything was really, really terrible!
Just as he was about to get up and go to the hospital to check on the situation, the doorbell suddenly rang.
Craig looked up and saw Randy walk in with a smile, each hand holding a child’s hand.
The two children were the babies they’d had later on. They’d grown up a bit now, and one looked like Craig, while the other looked like Randy. Their tender cheeks were very cute.
When the children saw Craig sitting on the sofa, they pounced over happily. “Father!”
“Father, we haven’t seen you for ages, where did you go?”
Surrounded by his children, Craig’s mood improved a little. He reached out and hugged the two kids, and gently rubbed their heads, saying, “I was busy with something at the palace. Were you behaving at home?”
The two children nodded immediately and said in unison, “We were good!”
Craig smiled slightly and looked up, meeting Randy’s gaze.
Randy didn’t feel guilty at all for ignoring this alpha for a whole month. He smiled cheerfully instead and walked up to Craig. He didn’t hide anything in front of the children, and moved closer on his own to give Craig an intimate kiss.
Craig: “...”
He’d been full of anger, but this soft kiss dissolved it at once.
Craig turned his head aside in embarrassment. There was nothing he could do about his own weakness!
Randy had wanted to deepen the kiss, but when he saw him suddenly avoid it, he asked, confused, “What’s wrong? Are you in a bad mood?”
Since this alpha’s face was always frozen stiff, it was hard for Randy to guess whether he was happy or not. This was, however, the first time he had avoided his kiss on his own. He should be...unhappy, right?
Thinking of this, Randy changed the topic and said, “That’s right, I brought the kids to the hospital today for a physical. The two of them are both very healthy.”
“Okay.” Craig carried the two children upstairs and let them play with their toys. After he’s taken care of the kids, he came back to the living room and said seriously, “Randy, I have something to say to you.”
Randy dressed very casually at home, and was barefooted, wearing a thin set of pajamas. Craig forcibly restrained the urge to look at his pure white feet and the body under his pajamas, coughed, looked away and said, “Aiden’s married already.”
Randy smiled and said, “That’s true, although that fellow Carlo’s a little foolish, he treats our son well. I’m at ease about Aiden.”
“That’s not what I mean.” Craig interrupted him. When he looked back at him, his eyes were a little red. “What about us?”
Randy froze. “We...what?”
Craig said expressionlessly, “Our son’s already married, when are we going to get married?”
“...” As expected, Randy fell silent.
Every time he asked this question, they’d part on bad terms, or he’d use all sorts of excuses to change the topic. It had been a long time, and Craig thought he was already numb, but when he saw Randy react like this, his heart still ached faintly.
He and Randy were the only alpha-omega couple in the empire who already had three children together, but still hadn’t received their marriage certificate.
It was as if they were only together to take care of their physical needs, or to help Aiden recover his health...and it had nothing to do with love, commitment or marriage.
—This kind of cohabitation made Craig feel as if he was sitting on pins and needles.
It had been so many years, and every time he mentioned the word “marriage,” Randy’s face would twist. Craig had endured it before for the sake of their son, but now their son was already married, and the two of them, as his parents, actually still hadn’t gotten a certificate. If you spoke this kind of thing out loud, wouldn’t people laugh their heads off?
Randy didn’t say a word. Craig said ruthlessly, “If you really aren’t willing to marry me, then...let’s break up.”
When he heard this, Randy looked up in shock. A trace of tension flashed through his eyes. “Break, break up?”
Craig looked away and said quietly, “Aiden’s health has completely recovered, and the two little kids are healthy as well. There’s no need to have another child to save them. You probably...don’t have much more use for me.”
His voice was strangely rough. He was clearly using all his strength to restrain the pain of his emotions.
When Randy heard the man say these words, his heart felt like a pair of hands had gripped it tightly, and even breathing became difficult.
—He remembered at heart how well Craig had treated him for all these years.
He accompanied him in every possible way and gave him unconditional help. When he beckoned he’d come, and when he gestured he’d go, like the most devoted of guards.
Even when he didn’t give him any official status, he was still able to stay by his side for so many years, and agreed to his request to have two children. He was gentle and caring towards him, and showed even more concern for his children.
Actually, Randy understood what it meant when someone was able to do so much good for the sake of another person.
It was just that his background information was all fake, and there was simply no way to successfully get a marriage certificate…
When he thought of this, Randy couldn’t help but feel a bit lost. He saw Craig turning to leave, and rushed forward two steps, hugging him from behind. He said softly, “Don’t go, okay? I’ve really missed you for the last few days. I knew you were busy, and didn’t even dare to contact you for fear of disturbing you.”
Craig: “...”
Jeez!
When an omega hugged them and said words like this, how many alphas could refuse?
But when he thought of how he was nothing more than a prop to him, Craig felt a serious injury to his self-respect. He unyieldingly pulled his arms away and said, “It-it’s getting late, I’m going back.”
Randy threw himself on him again and held him tight. “Don’t go, stay here tonight…”
“Enough!” Craig said furiously, “Don’t you have anything else in your head besides that when you’re with me?”
Scolded, Randy looked at him very innocently.
After a long while, Randy said, “What do I have in my head? How come you’re angry again?”
Craig: “...”
You’re always thinking of getting laid all day long, there’s not another omega in the whole empire like you!
But Craig couldn’t say that sentence, especially faced with Randy’s clear, innocent eyes.
When he saw the corners of the general’s mouth twitching, Randy thought it over thoroughly, and finally understood what he was angry about. He hurried to explain: “I didn’t tell you to stay over tonight because I want to sleep with you, but because I have something to tell you.”
Craig gave him a blank stare of confusion. “What?”
“Actually, my name isn’t Randy.” Randy said seriously, “My original name is Dean Sherman, General Hooper’s older brother.”
Craig: “.…………………”
Why not just strike him dead with lightning!
They’ve already had three children, and it’s not until today that he knew the omega next to him was actually from the Sherman family?
And he’s even the older brother of General Hooper, who loves planting flowers and growing plants?
Randy, you really won’t rest until your words shock people to death!
