Entering a Split Personality — Chapter 16

Xiao He thought of Lance, his heart tightened, and he fell silent.

Lance had said, “I was the one who saw you first, and I was the one who liked you first, but His Majesty took you away. He likes to take away everything I have, so I want to kill him.”

Ayr had said, “I created them, but now, they find me a hindrance.”

Xiao He frowned slightly. He realized there was a conflict between them, but he was powerless.

This kind of conflict was irreconcilable. It would only increase and worsen with time.

He couldn’t understand all of this, but now, there were two paths laid out in front of him.

He had to either comply with Ayr or betray him.

But Xiao He had already determined on his intention. He wasn’t willing to betray him, so he could only comply with him.

Something in his heart was gradually becoming clear. Xiao He relaxed slightly, made himself more comfortable in Ayr’s arms, and asked in a soft voice, “Your Majesty, if I stay with you, will you be happy?”

The elf above him froze slightly, but soon after, his low, unhurried voice fell gently, soft as a petal, touching him. “I will.”

Xiao He smiled and said, “Then please let me remain by your side.”

“You’re willing to?”

“I am!”

Ayr moved slightly, and looked down at him. “And your lover?”

Xiao He sighed. “You have to give me a little time. I can’t forget him so quickly, but I’ll try to forget.”

“Why?” Ayr’s eyes flashed lightly, as if brilliance was passing through them. “Why choose me?”

Xiao He looked at him without blinking, as if he was tracing Ayr’s features with his eyes, and sighed. “Because you’re beautiful, so beautiful I can’t get enough of looking at you.”

Ayr smiled lightly, but didn’t move his gaze away, clearly waiting for his real answer.

Xiao He met his gaze for a while, and finally compromised. “...You treat me very well. No one’s ever treated me this well before.”

“Even he hasn’t?”

“Yes,” Xiao He said quietly, “even he hasn’t.”

When he heard these words, Ayr smiled slightly, and the darkness in the depths of his eyes lit up completely. His faint smile was like a peony, the king of flowers, blooming, so beautiful it dazzled Xiao He and made his heart palpitate with desire.

Xiao He was actually just reading out a script, but at this moment, he was blinded by this smile, and almost lost himself in the act, taking it for the truth.

But fortunately, he still knew that this was a dream, and after he woke up, everything would return to nothingness.

Ayr bent his head and kissed him. Their blazing lips met and ignited a raging inferno, instantly burning his reason to ashes.

Xiao He didn’t reject him anymore. He arched his neck and let him in. His response was very clumsy, but it was enough, enough to make the kiss hotter and more intense.

When the kiss ended, Xiao He was panting.

Ayr embraced him as if he was protecting the finest treasure in the world, and also as if he was holding his own heart—undisguised, open, and holding nothing back.

“Xiao He, don’t deceive me.” Ayr’s lips pressed against Xiao He’s neck, feeling the flow of life underneath the warm skin.

Xiao He suddenly stiffened.

Ayr’s slender fingers held Xiao He’s waist, affectionately and tenderly roaming over it. “Don’t give me hope, and then push me into the abyss.”

“If I deceive you,” Xiao He had originally been nervous, but he suddenly relaxed again. He hadn’t raised his head, but his voice was clearly audible, “You can take away my heart.”

His words were very pleasant to hear. Ayr’s expression softened again. He embraced Xiao He, and didn’t say anything more.

In the days that followed, Xiao He once more lived a decadent life.

Having already tasted pleasure, his body couldn’t bear any more stimulation. Ayr’s skills were quite high, so as soon as he teased him, Xiao He would start trembling slightly.

Xiao He wanted to make Ayr happy and content, but the way he was spending his days was sort of putting the cart before the horse.

Ayr treated him better and better, and more and more considerately. Xiao He had originally thought of complying with him and catering to him, but he slowly found that when he was with Ayr, he didn’t have to think about that at all. He only needed to follow his own wishes and relax, and he could make Ayr happy and content…

This was so easy and wonderful it was hard to imagine, and he had to say that it was really enjoyable.

And it gave him 100% satisfaction.

He only had to be himself and make himself happy, and Ayr would be happy as well. Xiao He knew that he could go his whole life without finding this kind of rapport in reality.

Slowly, he became more and more sincere, and he wanted to do more. In most areas, Ayr didn’t need him, but there were some things that he longed for.

Every night, he was the only one feeling pleasure, while Ayr always endured on. Xiao He felt this was pretty unfair, and out of an inexplicable sense of guilt, he wanted to help Ayr too.

But when he had just expressed his wishes on this, Ayr kissed him and said, “Don’t be in a rush, wait until after the Brilliance Ball.”

Xiao He asked, puzzled, “Why?”

Ayr’s fingers explored under Xiao He’s shirt, and he said in a low voice, caressing him lightly, “Your current rank is too low, and you won’t be able to bear it.”

Xiao He: ...F-f-fuck! Is this your tactful way of saying that I might be fucked to death??

Please! I was only thinking of helping you rub one out, I really wasn’t thinking of offering to do that!

But he couldn’t say this out loud, and at the same time, Xiao He was a little worried...so to speak, after the Brilliance Ball, his already hedonistic lifestyle would sink even further into dissipation?

He had said that he decided his plan was to comply with him and appease him, but wouldn’t complying with him to this extent be too much?!

But...he didn’t have a way out.

Forget it, let's take it one step at a time. He’d cross that bridge when he came to it!

His shameless days flew by, and just when Xiao He almost thought he’d never wake up from this dream, the Brilliance Ball approached.

When he thought of what would happen after the ball, Xiao He was uncontrollably anxious, and even thought of running away.

Rubbing one out was easy to handle, but he was still afraid of really doing the deed!

Ayr noticed his feelings, and these days, he was more considerate of him than ever, wishing he could pluck the stars from the sky and fish the moon from the water for him.

But Xiao He...was still anxious.

But fortunately, Ayr was rather busy these days, and didn’t stay with him all the time, so Xiao He had more space to relax.

But he hadn’t relaxed for a moment before someone came to pay a visit.

When he suddenly saw Lance, Xiao He felt cold all over.

What was destined to happen would always come. He wasn’t surprised, and he was mentally prepared.

The golden-haired elf was as dazzling as ever, but his eyes held a shade more of coldness and malice. “Do you still want to take revenge?”

Xiao He steadied himself, and he said coldly, “If we’re going to cooperate, you have to at least tell me your plans.”

“If I tell you, will you turn around and confess everything beneath his body?” Lance spoke mocking words, but his appearance was still as handsome and bright as the morning sun.

Xiao He frowned and said, “Without even this bit of good faith, how can I trust you?” After he finished speaking, he made as if he was about to leave.

Sure enough, Lance wasn’t willing to let him go. He pulled him into his arms and said lowly beside his ear, “Don’t be angry, I’ll just tell you…”

He slowly told him the plan, and Xiao He’s eyes abruptly widened, full of shock.

Lance looked down at him, and his gaze landed on Xiao He’s fair neck. He saw the bit of pink left over from an intense kiss, and he couldn’t help but feel bitter at heart. He took the chance to lick Xiao He’s ear, and he said softly, “After this ends, come back to me. I’ll be better to you than him.”

Xiao He hadn’t heard what he said at all. His mind was working quickly to digest what he had heard before.

The two of them were concentrating too hard, so neither of them noticed when behind the slight crack in the door, a wisp of starlight-silver hair flashed past.
